Berne Boots by Horze are fun, adaptable boots that protect the coronary band and heel bulbs of the horse. The protection is offered in ‘petal-like’ protrusions that extend from the top, and are joined by a band of padding that has a Velcro fastener for easy application to and from your horse’s legs. These mimic the style and purpose of using a bell boot, but offer an adaptability in the ‘petal’ that allow them to conform better to anomalies. For horses that have odd-sized, or odd-shaped feet that traditional bell boots won’t ‘hang’ properly on, these are definitely worth trying. Also great for horses with corrective shoes, wedges, or pads that might block the proper fit of a bell boot.
